Apart from the natural beauty, Shillong also acts as the gateway to Meghalaya, the state famous for heavy rainfall, caves, tallest waterfalls, beautiful landscapes and amazing people and their culture. Day 1: Arrive Guwahati
Arrive at Guwahati airport, received and transferred to Shillong ( 100 kms / 2 ½ hrs drive), enroute stop at the scenic view point of the Umiam lake ( the largest manmade lake in Northeast India), reach Shillong and check into hotel, after refreshment explore the local night markets of Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.

Day 2 : SHILLONG SIGHTSEEING
Today we shall explore Shillong City. Visit the iconic man-made lake Ward’s Lake which existed since the colonial era. The lake is over 100 years old. Next we shall visit the renowned Don Bosco Museum which is Asia’s largest museum of Indigenous Cultures. It boasts amazing architecture resembling a honeycomb. The museum spans over 7 floors comprising galleries with an extensive array of wonderfully curated exhibits. Lady Hydari Park – a charming Japanese-style garden. It is named after Lady Hydari, wife of erstwhile Governor-General of Assam. Locally, it is also called Phan Nonglait Park. The garden showcases an assortment of colourful flowers including roses and orchids. Within the park, there are well-maintained lawns, a beautiful pond and a mini zoo. You can see a lot of waterfowls like ducks and geese dabbling in the pond. Stroll around to admire the scenic vistas of the garden. Afternoon Do Shopping in Shillong City.

Day 3 : SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG – (78 kms/2½-3 hrs)
After breakfast in the morning, We shall drive to the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong. Witness the 100+ years old Living Root Bridge of Riwai Village. Lunch. Post Lunch, we shall drive to India-Bangladesh border to visit Dawki. It is famous for being the home to the clean and crystal waters of the Umngot River. Witness the transparent river bed of the Umngot River, also known as Dawki River. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.

Day 4 : SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI – SHILLONG (60 kms/2-2½ hrs)
After breakfast you will be setting out to the wettest place in the world, Cherrapunji. On the way, you will be stop by at the Elephant Falls and the Shillong Peak (the highest point in Meghalaya). After arriving in Cherrapunji, you will see the famous attractions of the hill station like the Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Seven Sister Falls, and Mawsmai Cave. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.
Day 5 : Shillong – Guwahati Airport – Flyout
Today after breakfast, we shall drive back to Guwahati Airport waving goodbye to the mystic land of Meghalaya.
